My top 5 beauty hacks

Hey babes! If you’re a babe on a budget like *ahem me! LOL!  You should read on to see my top five beauty hacks! In no particular order! They will change yo life and increase your wallet size. For reals!

As a licensed Esthetician (I bet ya didn’t know that about me, did ya?!) I have to stress how important skin care is and that you should be washing your face at least twice a day. We all have those late nights where we just want to be lazy though and umm just put it off. To that I say a big no no! You still need to do it. To make getting your scrub on a bit easier, there is the ever so handy Makeup wipe. We have all heard of the popular brands like Neutrogena, Aveeno, or Olay. They can be up to $16 a pack so I bring to you Beauty hack numero 1, Baby wipes. Baby wipes are just as effective as the expensive brand wipe and bonus, they’re made for babies bums, so they are great for the gals with extra sensitive skin! You can buy a single pack for under $2 or get a bundle 6 pack on Amazon for $13.97

Let’s keep the skin savers a goin! My favorite favorite thing for moisturizer is coconut oil! I swapped my expensive brands about a year and a half ago and have never looked back! Coconut oil is so beneficial to skin and hydrates better than most of the expensive brands at a fraction of the cost! This tub has lasted me about 12 months at just $10.25 Can’t beat that!

Now that we’ve covered washing and hydrating your skin, I want to bring to you exfoliation. It’s best to start this habit as a youngin in your 20’s and so important to keep up in your 30’s and older years because skin cell turnover really starts to slow down. One of my favorite exfoliants for the skin is sugar! Yes sugar! It smells great and gets the job done! Not to mention a 4lb package can literally last you 24 months! Since we only want to be using it 1 to 2 times a week girls!

My next favorite beauty hack is imitation Mac lipstick! My favorite Mac lip color is a nude shade called “Blankety” that retails for $18.50 buuut for a budget friendly find, I gladly introduce you to NYX lip lingerie no. 11 “Babydoll” It’s a perfect match! It retails for $4.85 and has a matte finish. If you prefer a creamier finish like the original “Blankety” you can layer the NYX buttergloss in “Madeleine” for just $3.49

And last but certainly not least! Magnetic lashes! OMG! If you saw my original post on these babies you know that I consider them a major game changer! I have previously had lash extensions as well as lash tints and lifts and these are a fraction of the cost with a whole lot less maintenance. Can I get an amen! Lash extensions can cost anywhere from $150 to $175 for original application and maintaining every two weeks with touch ups for $55 to $75 but these magnetic lashes are only $11.88 and last for four whopping weeks! I consider them a girl’s best friend!
