Getting creative on Instagram

I’ve recently experienced a block when it comes to Instagram. With the everchanging algorithm and things constantly turning new directions on the app, I felt blocked…. Mentally! I was at a creative halt and lacking inspiration to post to my feed.

I took a much needed mental health day off of social media and realized that the reason behind my unexcitement for Instagram is because I stopped enjoying the creative process. I think back to my early Instagram career and I remember being so ecstatic to put together a fashion outfit, to style my hair and makeup. I would pose for hours to get the cutest photos. I loved the editing process and was so excited to share my posts that I would upload several times a day because I just couldn’t wait to share what I had come up with with the world!

Cut to present day and…. yawn, I am so bored of putting together an outfit just to pose (with that leg pop) in front of my house. I feel like there are a gazillion bloggers/influencers out there doing the EXACT SAME THING and well it lacks, what’s the word I’m looking for…. pizazz!

I took a poll on stories the other day asking “Do you all want to see more CREATIVE posts on Instagram?” And wasn’t that shocked or surprised when the answer came back at 100% YES!

So get ready ya’ll! I’m taking a bit of a turn on Instagram, a pivot, really. I’m finding new and creative ways to showcase what I still love showing (Fashion and Beauty), but in a more fun and exciting way! I will still be featuring #wannabewednesday because I know that this is a fan favorite. It’s so important to me to continue to give you more of what YOU want! I hope to continue to Entertain, Inform, Inspire, and Motivate you with my posts.
